Description

How easy is it to provide traceable yarn which meets your own ethical approach to life?

In this short talk (with time for questions), Suzie will cover her own journey into sheep-keeping and small scale wool production, highlighting some of the challenges and highlights along the way.

She’ll explain why small-batch yarn is more expensive to produce, how she has made a ‘slaughter-free’ approach work for her own flock, and how ‘traceable’ yarn can mean different things. You’ll be encouraged to think about what’s important to you when buying yarn, and the compromises that most yarn producers have to make along the way.

Speaker: Suzie from Lammermuir Wool
